Norwich Night Vet

Emergency Number - 01603 867330

We understand how worrying it is when your pets are poorly, and this is even more stressful in the middle of the night or when your usual vets are closed. That is where Norwich Night Vet steps in. Successfully running since 2008, Norwich Night Vet provides a unique dedicated emergency service covering much of the area in and around Norwich. Our state-of-the-art hospital is custom designed to ensure efficient working conditions, allowing us to deliver the highest standard of patient care. With advanced technology and facilities, we are equipped to handle a wide range of emergencies, ensuring that your pet receives the best possible treatment.

Norwich Night Vet provides a genuine A&E service for pet owners in the Norwich area.

Open 24/7, 365 days a year

  • If your pet requires any emergency treatment out-of-hours we understand that this can be a particularly stressful time. Our team will provide you with guidance over the phone in transporting your pet to us before then assessing the urgency of care needed when you arrive
  • While we do always aim to have pets seen quickly by one of our vets after their arrival, if they are stable and comfortable then other pets in a more critical condition may sometimes need to be seen before you, however we will always ensure pain relief is given immediately following arrival if this is needed
  • The hospital is equipped with an extensive array of specialist equipment to facilitate emergency treatments, some of which may not be available to general practices such as the facility to provide blood transfusions, perform emergency surgeries 24/7 and monitor the critically unwell pet
  • Many of our night team have additional qualifications in emergency and critical care and manage hundreds of emergencies every year; this familiarity enables the team to manage each patient as efficiently as possible. In addition to this, we are able to call on the expertise of vets with post-graduate qualifications in several other disciplines when required
  • If your pet needs to be admitted to the hospital for a non-routine procedure or for continuation of the care provided by your primary care practice they will be cared for in one of our comfortable and safe wards by a qualified Veterinary Nurse and Veterinary Surgeon
  • Staff are on-site at all times providing round the clock care for hospitalised patients if needed as well as being available to see emergencies.
  • If there is any change in your pet’s condition while in the hospital, we will always endeavour to contact you as son as possible. Otherwise, you will generally receive an update on your pet at least twice daily or following any procedures they might be undergoing in the hospital
